Algerias First Half Trade Surplus Rises To $5Bn
Algerias trade surplus rose to $5.06bn by the end of first half 2000, up from $470mn for the same period last year. According to Algerias Customs Computing and Statistics National Council (CCSNS) on 16 July, imports fell to $4.45bn in the first half of 2000 compared to $4.54bn for the first six months of 1999, while exports climbed to $9.51bn against $5.01bn in 1H 1999.
