Lebanons Economic Situation Remains Negative
At the end of May Lebanons net public debt increased 16.2% over the level recorded in May 1999 to LL31,536bn ($20.92bn), according to the Central Bank on 24 July. Net domestic debt in May 2000 stood at LL23,326bn ($15.7bn), while foreign debt totalled $5.4bn.
