SABICs First Half Net Profits Up To $549mn
The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) on 18 July reported first half net profits of SR2.06bn ($550mn), compared to SR488mn ($130.10mn) for the first half of 1999. According to SABIC, its affiliate Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Co (SAFCO) posted SR86mn ($22.93mn) in net profits for first half 2000 against SR24mn ($6.40mn) in losses for the same period in 1999.
