JBIC Hikes Funding To MENA Region
The Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) increased its loan and investment commitments to MENA in 2010 to 268.2bn ($3.5bn) from 102.6bn ($1.3bn) in 2009. The largest amounts in 2010 (the fiscal year ends 31 March 2011) were provided to UAE, Egypt, and then Saudi Arabia (see table).
