OPEC Expects Global Oil Demand To Rise 1.9% To 77.51Mn B/D In 2001
If worldwide crude oil prices remain at levels achieved in the first half of 2000, OPEC expects that global demand will rise by 1.46mn b/d or 1.9% to 77.51mn b/d in 2001. In its Monthly Oil Market Report for August, OPEC says that this level of growth would be higher than that for 1999 or 2000, but that changes in the current good global economic outlook and anticipated weather conditions...
