Kuwaits Final Difficult Debt Installment Falls Due
The final installment of Kuwaits Difficult Debt Program fell due on 6 September. The Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Shaikh Salim'Abd al-'Aziz al-Sabah, announced three days later that debtors had paid a closing contribution of $485mn, although according to analysts the precise amount will not be known for several months.
