Omani Banks Personal Lending Declines By 11.6%

According to the latest August/September edition of Al-Markazi, published by the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), measures taken to reduce the risk of high levels of consumer lending have been adhered to by the banking sector and reduced such loans from OR1,078.9mn ($2,802.3mn) in June 1999 to OR953.3mn ($2,476.1mn) in June this year.
