Iraq Cross-Border Oil Trade With Turkey To Rise To 170,000 B/D In 2001
MEES learns that Iraqs cross-border oil trade with Turkey is set to rise from the current level of 140,000 b/d (70,000 b/d of crude oil and 70,000 b/d of products) to 170,000 b/d in 2001. This volume is over and above the 117,000 b/d of crude oil which Turkish state and private firms purchase from Iraq under the UN approved oil-for-food program (see page A4).
