Bandar Imam Paraxylene Plant On Stream
Irans National Petrochemical Company (NPC) has brought on stream a 180,000 tons/year paraxylene plant at Bandar Imam on the Gulf coast, where a massive petrochemicals complex is under construction. On 5 December the Iran Daily newspaper quoted Abbas Sherimoqaddam, Managing Director of NPCs Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company subsidiary, as saying the plant had cost $82mn plus IR165bn to build.
