Egypts Prime Minister Says Domestic Debt Is Manageable
Egypts Prime Minister 'Atif 'Ubaid announced on 17 December that the countrys domestic debt standing at 54% of GDP is within safe limits and poses no threat to the economy. According to the semi-official newspaper al-Ahram, Dr 'Ubaid said the debt was of no real concern when compared to that of other countries which have domestic debt levels ranging between 60% and 110% of GDP....
