Egypt Announces Six New Discoveries

Egypt has registered six small oil and gas discoveries, three in October and three in November 1998, bringing the total number of new finds through November 1998 to 36 22 oil and 14 natural gas (for previous discoveries see MEES, 19 October and 10 August), according to the January 1999 issue of the monthly publication al-Bitrul published by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC).
