MAPNA To Purchase 30 Gas Turbines From Italy For $1Bn
The Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company (MAPNA) signed on 3 May a $1bn deal with Ansaldo Energia of Italy for the purchase of 30 gas turbines at a cost of $1bn. According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, the turbines will be acquired on a "finance basis," and are destined for installation at a power plant in Bandar Abbas.
