PDO Cuts Costs, Plans Crude Production Boost
Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) says in its 1998 AnnualReport that crude oil production is expected to reach 850,000 b/d in 2000,up 14,500 b/d from the 1998 average of 835,500 b/d. Total production in 1998amounted to 305mn barrels, while a total of 398mn barrels of reserves werediscovered, increasing PDO痴 reserves base by 93mn barrels. Total reserves nowstand at 5.376bn barrels.
