OKIOC Begins Offshore Drilling At Kashagan Site; BP AmocoWill Hang On To Share
The Offshore Kazakstan International Operating Company(OKIOC) spudded its first exploratory well, the Kashagan East-1, in its CaspianSea concession on 12 August. The well, whose target depth is 4,500 ms., isbeing drilled from the modified Sunkar rig, which is anchored in water that isonly four meters deep.
