Yusif Sayigh Awarded 'Abd Allah al-Tariki Prize

The first 'Abd Allah al-Tariki Prize has been awarded to thePalestinian economist and author Dr. Yusif Sayigh. Mr. Tariki, was responsiblefor his country痴 oil industry throughout the fifties, and served as SaudiArabia痴 first Oil Minister from 1960 to 1962. He played a pivotal role, alongwith his Venezuelan counterpart Juan Pablo Perez Alfonso, in establishing theOrganization of Petroleum Exporting...
