FDI Inflows To MENA Down In 1998

While global foreign direct investment (FDI) (1) inflowsrose by 38.7% to $643.9bn in 1998, most notably in the developed world with theUS and Western Europe together receiving two thirds of the total, inflows intothe Middle East and North Africa (MENA) fell by 6% to $7.2bn.
