World Bank Completes Study On $2bn Saudi Railway Expansion

The World Bank has revealed the results of a year-longfeasibility study into the expansion of the Saudi railway system. Under ascheme costing at least $2bn, two new lines would be built. The first would runsouth-north, linking the port and industrial cities of Dammam and Jubail withthe mineral-rich areas in the far north-west of the country.
