AFESD Completes Appraisal For Algerian Housing Projects
According to sources in Algeria, the Arab Fund for Economicand Social Development (AFESD) has agreed to lend the country $115mn, of which$85mn will be allocated to the building of 6,000 houses and $30mn to assist there-mortgaging company Societe de Refinancement Hypothecaire (SRH). Of thehomes, 3,000 will be built in Algiers and the remainder in Boumerdes, Blida andTipaza.
