Kazakstan Produced 25.76Mn Tons Of Crude Oil During 1997
Kazakstan's national oil company, Kazakoil, announced on 23 January that the countryproduced 25.76mn tons (515,200 b/d) of crude oil during 1997, its largest annual output inthe history of the country's oil industry. Mr. Baltabek Kuandykov, president of Kazakoil,said: "Last year we achieved a maximum level of oil extraction in Kazakstan. Weestimate oil output will reach 29mn to 30mn tons in 1998." A...
