South Korea's Daewoo Wins Tanker Order From Iran
The National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC) has awarded South Korea's Daewoo HeavyIndustries a $250mn contract to build five 100,000 dwt oil tankers scheduled for deliverybetween May 2000 and early 2001. Daewoo said in a statement on 11 February that it had seta target of winning ship orders worth $3.7bn in 1998, up from $3.4bn in 1997.
