Syria And Russia Sign Cooperation Agreements On Nuclear Energy And Debt Arrears
Syria and Russia on 23 February signed a series of cooperation agreements covering thepeaceful use of nuclear energy, Syrian debt to Russia, other economic issues and tourism.On the Syrian debt problem, the two countries agreed to continue negotiations on how tosettle the arrears of some $10-12bn owed to Russia for the cost of arms delivered to Syriaby the former Soviet Union....
