Morocco Announces $100Mn Oil Barter Deal With Libya
Morocco's Ministry of Trade announced on 6 May that it has begun a barter deal withLibya under which Libya will supply Morocco with $100mn worth of crude oil. Morocco willin turn export "a variety of goods" to Libya. The agreement was initiated in1996 and a Moroccan ministerial delegation will visit Tripoli at the end of May to"finalize the technical modalities," the Ministry said.
