Saudi Government Pays $1.4Bn Arrears To Farmers
On 5 July, the Government of Saudi Arabia announced that in line with the arrearsschedule determined three years previously, SR5.2bn ($1.4bn) will be paid to grain farmersin the coming months. The Saudi Minister of Agriculture and Water, Mr. 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abdal-'Aziz ibn Mu'ammar, said that the government will paySR5.2bn to wheat farmers in two installments - SR2.2bn in July and a further SR3bn inAugust....
