The Political Scene
Israel has few friends in the UN General Assembly, where only the US, Micronesia andthe Marshall Islands joined it in voting against a resolution upgrading - but not changing- the Palestinians' observer status. On the Palestinian track itself, the Americans arenow talking about an "end-game" in their attempt to restart the talks. Tunisiahas withdrawn its last remaining diplomat in Tel Aviv.
