UN Will Lift Sanctions As Soon As Libyan Suspects Handed Over

The UN Security Council voted unanimously on 27 August to suspend sanctions on Libyaonce it hands over the two Libyan intelligence officers accused of the Lockerbie bombing.The resolution, approved 15-0, also threatens additional punitive measures if the suspectsfail to appear for trial in the Netherlands.
