Iran Debates Budgetary Shortfalls
Concerns about the Iranian Governments amended bill of the 1377(1998-1999) budget, which aims to ease the budget deficit, have been voiced by Mr. AliGhanbari, a senior Parliamentary official. The amended bill proposes to borrow from theCentral Bank of Iran (CBI) which Mr. Ghanbari cautions would raise the countrysinflation rate.
