Value Of Trade On Egyptian Stock Market Triples
The Chairman of the Egyptian Capital MarketsAuthority (CMA), Mr. 'Abd al-Hamid Ibrahim, said on 8 January that the total value oftrading on the Stock Exchange in 1996 was E11bn ($3.24bn), compared to E3.85bn($1.13bn) the previous year, and that the volume of shares traded was 207.8mn as against72.2mn in 1995 - an increase of 188%.
