Elf Acquires New Concession Area In Northern Syria
Elf Aquitaine announced in Paris on 30 January that it hasconcluded a new exploration and production sharing agreement with Syria, covering a4,200-sq. km. block in the northern part of the country. Elf Hydrocarbures Syrie, asubsidiary of Elf Aquitaine, will be the operator with a 40% interest. It will bepartnered by Sumitomo Petroleum Development Company of Japan with 30% and PetronasCarigali of Malaysia...
