Environmental Claims Against Iraq Reach $32Bn
Ten countries have filed claims of up to $32bn against Iraq for environmental damage caused during the Gulf war. Kuwait filed a claim to the value of $16.3bn, while the claim submitted by the US was worth around $8.8bn. Other claimant countries include Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Britain, Australia, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands.
