Elf Aquitaine Starts Production From Al-Khalij Field

MEES learns that Elf Aquitaine started production in mid-February from al-Khalij field in offshore Block No. 6 in eastern Qatar at an initial rate of 6,000 b/d, with plans to increase output gradually to 30,000 b/d by November. The 29ｰAPI crude oil will be transported via a 12-inch submarine pipeline linking production facilities in the field to Halul island where the al-Khalij stream will be mixed with Qatar...
