Iranian Gas Imports A Must, Says Turkey's Energy Minister

Turkey will proceed with plans to import natural gas fromneighboring Iran despite US pressure to drop the deal, Turkey's Minister of Energy, Mr.Recai Kutan, said on 11 March. In this connection he was quoted as saying: "There issome friendly advice from the US on whether alternatives could be found for the Iraniangas... but we are clearly telling them that the Iranian gas is a must."
