Turkey And Russia Reach Agreement On Black Sea Gas Pipeline
Delegates from Turkey and Russia agreed in Ankara on 20 March toconstruct a natural gas pipeline that would transport Russian gas beneath the Black Sea toTurkey. The 1,200-km. pipeline would begin at Izobilnaya in Russia and run to Dzhubga onthe Black Sea coast; from there it would cross the Black Sea at depths of up to 2,150 ms.to arrive at the northern Turkish port of Samsun.
