Banbi Upgrades Gas Reserves To 30 TCF

Egyptian Oil Minister Hamdi al-Banbi has upgraded the estimate of the country'sgas reserves to 30 trillion cubic feet (TCF), according to Egypt's MENA newsagency which said on 15 May that the estimate was divulged by the Minister at aone-day seminar at Tanta University on the subject of "Oil Policy inEgypt." Estimates of Egypt's gas reserves had so far ranged between 22 and24 TCF.
