UNCC Approves Additional $721Mn In Claims Against Iraq

The Geneva-based United Nations Compensation Committee (UNCC) approvedon 24 June an additional $721mn to individuals who have filed claims against Iraq,bringing the total value of claims approved to about $6bn. A total of 78,000 claims in the'C' category individuals who suffered losses of up to $100,000 were awarded to claimantsin 43 countries.
