Tishrin Dam Power Plant Inaugurated
Syrian Prime Minister Mahmud al-Zubi on 28 September inaugurated the 630-MWhydroelectric power station at the Tishrin Dam on the Euphrates river. The station, whichwas built by Sichuan Machinery of China, is located east of Aleppo, about 450 kms. northof Damascus.
