Yemen's Central Bank Issues First Treasury Bills
The Central Bank of Yemen announced on 30 November that it would issue its first batch of treasury bills in December. The issue, worth a total of YR2bn ($40mn), will be available to citizens, banks, insurance companies, pension funds and other institutions, and according to officials could mark the initial step towards developing a financial market in Yemen.
