Jandar Power Plant Inaugurated
The 600-MW combined-cycle power plant at Jandar, south of Homs, was inaugurated at the end of last year. The $450mn power plant, financed by a loan from Japan's Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, was built by a consortium comprising Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric and Fuji Electric under a contract awarded in early 1993 (MEES, 12 April 1993).
