OPEC Basket Price Rises 30 Cents/B In January To $18.06/B
The average spot price for the OPEC basket of seven crudes averaged $18.06/B in January, an increase of 30 cents/B from the revised December average of $17.76/B, according to figures released by the OPEC Secretariat. The January average is $2.94/B below OPEC's minimum reference price of $21/B, but $1.20/B above the 1995 basket average price of $16.86/B.
