Foreign Ventures Will Raise Qatar's Capacity By 200,000 B/D By 2000
Qatar plans to raise its crude oil production capacity by around 200,000 b/d by the year 2000 from blocks operated by foreign partners, according to an official source at the Qatar General Petroleum Corporation (QGPC) in a statement made available to MEES on 4 March. The incremental capacity, for which the foreign partners have allocated around QR7.5bn ($2.1bn at the rate of $1=QR3.64)...
