Tunisian Oil Production Drops During 1995, Gas Output Rises
The Tunisian Energy Ministry reported on 4 March that oil production fell during 1995 to 4.309mn tons from 4.461mn tons in 1994. Natural gas output increased by 15.4% to 923,000 tons of oil equivalent in 1995 from 757,000 toe in 1994. Domestic energy consumption rose to 5.211mn toe during 1995, a 2.5% increase over the 1994 total of 5.082mn toe.
