Banbi Inaugurates Port Fuad Offshore Gas Field
On 13 April, Egyptian Oil Minister Hamdi al-Banbi inaugurated the start of test production from the Port Fuad offshore gas field in the Mediterranean. The field, located north of Port Fuad on the northern tip of the Suez Canal, was developed at a cost of about $106mn and has an output capacity of 70mn cubic feet daily (cfd) of gas and 3,500 b/d of condensate.
