Petrofina Exploration Activity In Libya
The Libyan exploration program carried out by Belgium's Petrofina in 1995 included the drilling of one appraisal well, which confirmed an earlier discovery made in 1994, and the evaluation of its commercial potential, according to Petrofina's 1995 Annual Report. The Belgian firm is at present negotiating with Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC) the transfer of the remaining obligation wells to other acreage....
