IEOC Makes New Oil Discovery In Western Desert
The ENI/Agip subsidiary International Egyptian Oil Company (IEOC) has made a new oil discovery in the West Abu al- Gharadiq permit in Egypt's Western Desert. According to a press release issued by Agip in Milan on 13 June, the discovery well, Raml-1 (Sand-1), located about 160 kms. southeast of Marsa Matruh on the Mediterranean coast, flowed at a rate of 3,300 b/d of oil from a depth of around 1,400ms....
