Iran Deems Two Gulf Ports As `Special Economic Zones'
Mr. Morteza Alviri, Head of Iran's free trading zones, announced on 17 June that Iran had named the ports of Bandar Khomeini and Shahid Rajai as "special trading zones" (SEZ) and said they would offer competitive tariffs as a means to encourage more direct trade.
