Turkey Formally Requests Iraqi Oil Sanctions Exemption From UN

Turkey formally asked the UN Sanctions Committee on 5 August for an exemption to buy Iraqi oil because it had been "directly and most adversely" affected by the six years of sanctions against Iraq with losses of around $27.3bn.
