Banbi Inaugurates East Delta Gas Field
On 1 August, Egyptian Oil Minister Hamdi al-Banbi, inaugurated the start of production from the Halawa gas field in the East Delta permit. The operator of the permit is the Agip subsidiary International Egyptian Oil Company (IEOC) which is partnered by France's Elf and Total and Spain's Repsol.
