Five Mideast Countries Initial Agreement To Link Electricity Grids
An agreement to link the electricity grids of Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan and Egypt was initialed in Damascus on 13 August by the directors-general of the five countries' energy and electricity ministries after three days of deliberations by technical committees. The accord is to be submitted to a meeting of the ministers, which is expected to take place in Damascus in November....
