IMF Loan To Jordan
The International Monetary Fund (IMF), apparently jolted into action by the riots in Karak last week, has extended a further $60mn in drawing rights to Jordan. In a statement, the Fund's acting director of the Middle East department, Dr. Muhammad al-Erian, said "...The Jordanian economy has registered a high rate of economic growth, low inflation, and increasing foreign exchange reserves...(Jordan) has strengthened social safety...
