Libyan Leader Inaugurates Second Phase Of Great Man-Made River
At an official ceremony held on 1 September to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the 1969 Libyan Revolution, the second phase of Libya's giant Great Man-made River (GMR) project was inaugurated. The ceremony was attended by Libyan leader Mu'ammar al-Gaddafi, three African Presidents and other dignitaries as well as several ministers from Arab and African countries.
