Total Completes Drilling Of First Well In Sirri Offshore Fields
France's Total has completed drilling the first well in the Sirri A and E offshore fields in Iran, a Total spokesman announced on 11 September. The company plans to begin production from the fields in early 1998 at a rate of 20,000 b/d, rising to 120,000 b/d when the work is completed, the spokesman said.
